Well... Well..well.. Isn't that funny how life misread your wishes sometimes.

While Blake captured our heart with his easy going and best one liners he can pull off, Fighting to Forgive show us a different side of Blake that gives deeper than what's on surface. Despite being prepared for The Snake, I was still taken by surprise at the emotional ride of his story. It touch a lot of issues that made you think of life and our mistakes and bad decisions along the way that help shaped who we are today.

Blake and Layla comes from a past they tried to leave behind. They both broken by their past, running away from their trouble and not fighting for what they really want, accepting fate, until they found each other.

This story reminds you that sometimes life has different plan from what you expected and sometimes you have to fight for happiness. But when you have so much baggage from the past that you've been carrying around, mistakes that not lose you the one you love. And sometimes it's all comes down to forgiveness.

Can you forgive each other for their past and their mistakes? And more importantly can you forgive yourself, overlook everything and took the risk to trust again?

Yes, we get to see Blake deep and how much he'd move you. I'm talking about his story!! Stop dreaming and make sure to get yourself a copy. I LOVED IT! I didn't expect him this way but LOVE this side of him just as much if not more.

Blake "The Snake" & Layla "Mouse"

Ok (Catches breath), where do I start? This book is full to capacity with a ton of sex, abuse, humor, violence, angst, sweetness, and above all, love. Love for each other, love for ones self, and love of the game! This tantalizing tale is so tragic and yet uplifting at the same time. Hard to put into words, but image savoring a piece of Dove chocolate and then having someone tell you to spit it out only to let you put another piece back in your mouth!!! Highs and lows man, highs and lows! Damn Jamie you nearly killed me! I'm ok now, but my may have a few dents in it! LOL!

The character roster in this novel is phenomenal and immense. Not only do we have Blake "The Snake" Daniels (BD) as our main squeeze, but throw in Rex, Jonah, and our newest baby, Killian "Killer" in the mix, and holy hell, my panties were on fire!! Now throw in the most amazing female characters... Layla, Raven, Eve, and Axelle Rose!! Cool effing name by the way!! Bada bing bada boom... I was swooning over all of them!

Blake, oh Blake, how I love you. The torture that boy went through from such a young age just about broke me. I can't imagine any parent being so crappy to their kids like Blake's were. His life just seemed to be a series of unfortunate events that ultimately lead him to the MMA and his thriving fighting career. Even though he was a colossal jerk in the beginning of the book, I still loved him. Something about those male whore-ish kinda guys that just ropes me in! I'll never understand the "No attachments, no risk, and no pain" sort of man. Don't they know us women want all that and more? Thank the Gods he keeps that alpha demeanor, but softens the edges a bit! "I WANT THEM. THEY'RE MINE!!!" Oh how I love him!

Onto the WOMAN I'll forever aspire to be... Layla! She's very relatable to me as I was a single Mother myself for 8 years. Again, our female main character doesn't have a pleasant or orderly upbringing. Nope! Layla started her Mommy-hood at 15 and was treated like a piece of poop by just about everybody she should be able to count on. Her Ex is an butthole and basically broke her to say the least. Although she's broken and unhappy on the inside, she manages to put on a happy face and attitude on the outside for her beautiful and smart daughter Axelle. She's so damn cute "I just... wanted to see if you'd watch TV with me!" My heart melted. What a great Mom, friend, and all around remarkable gal to come from the ashes and rise above all the crap she was dealt.

Alright, enough about this magnificent character cast... The book is 443 ( version) pages long and if you ask me, just right! The pacing is remarkable and it flows with such tenacity that I could barely set my down for even a second. Great succeeding installment Jamie! I am in love with your beautiful words!

MMA fighter Blake Daniels wanted nothing more than to acquaint the new office assistant to his hard body and his sexy charm, but after learning she may have more baggage than he wants to deal with, he tries as hard as he can to keep it professional. But Layla Moorehead isn't like any other woman he's ever met and his desire for her erodes any man-rules he always lived by.

I got to know Blake in Fighting for Flight and couldn't wait to read his story. MMA fighters are total Alpha-males and with as cocky as Blake is, J.B. Salsbury made sure he was going to meet the toughest match of his life with Layla. This author writes her heroines with such personality that it's hard not to like them. Layla has been through a lot but never forgets her priorities. This is a sexy romance, but it's also about a couple who learn that there's more to sharing someone's life than sexual attraction. Jonah, Raven and Layla's daughter Elle are an important part of these character's lives and prove friends and family are a welcome package deal. I am definitely hooked on this series and can't wait for the next release.
